Highly integrated chipset targets European digital cordless market
Product offers size, power, and cost reductions
The DECT chipset is offered as the industry's first highly integrated
radio transceiver chipset for the 1.9-GHz Digital European Cordless
Telecommunications (DECT) standard. According to the company, it is the
first such chipset implemented in BiCMOS technology and the first
silicon-based transceiver to exceed 1 GHz. The product comprises the
LMX2216B low-noise amplifier and mixer, the LMX2240 single-conversion
demodulator, the LMX2320 2.0-GHz PLL frequency synthesizer, and the
LMX2410 baseband processor. The LMX2216B, LMX2240, and LMX2410 are
designed for 3-V operation; the LMX2320 operates from a 2.7 to 5.5-V
supply. ($31.75 ea/1,000–available now.) National Semiconductor Corp.
