Recently, everything-under-the-sun website Mashable conducted a study that looked at how some of the most common tech words are pronounced.
While to those of us in the industry, many of these terms are pretty straightforward, to the layman out there who stumbles upon a new technology while reading a blog or article, and doesn’t actually hear the word pronounced, a new iteration of the phrase is formed.
And some of them are fascinating.
The poll was conducted across different ages, locations, and occupations. Six controversial tech words were closely examined, and the results reflect the opinion of more than 30,000 respondents from 191 countries.
