How to erase all of your web accounts in a single click

For users who have hundreds of accounts on websites across the internet

Most of us have several accounts across all websites on the internet. Since you first discovered the world wide web, you've likely created many accounts over all of those years on sites like social networks, forums, services, and anything of the sort.

There are probably dozens of accounts that you're actively using at the moment, but what about those inactive accounts out there that are viewable to the public eye and can be used against you?

An individual can pull information from one of your public accounts to dox you and discover who you truly are. Even if your accounts are private, they can still be hacked into and searched for data.

Many of us probably can't remember half of the accounts we've ever created. But now, there is a useful tool called deseat.me that exists.

To use deseat.me, you'll need to sign in using your Google account. It will then scan through thousands of sites and apps to match your account, allowing you to either keep them or delete them on a per-account basis of what it finds. For those concerned with security, deseat.me uses Google OAuth so you are not giving away your login credentials.

You may want to close as many as possible because you never know when you might have shared too much information online and how it could be used against you.
