How to set up several stops on your route in Google Maps

It makes getting around in an unknown city easier.

One of the many favorite features on the navigation app Waze is the ability to add multiple stops along your route. Now, this feature is available in Google Maps for both Android and iOS.

Using the new feature is actually quite simple and makes it much easier to navigate around an unknown city. Here’s what you need to know:

To use the feature, click the blue button on the bottom screen, similarly to how you would to navigate. Enter your destination, then tap the corner menu and Add Stop. An additional box will open where you will be able to enter another stop along the way. Tap on that and enter the other place you wish to go. And when you’re finished adding the extra stop (you can add multiple), just tap Go and Google Maps will take you there.

Another added benefit to the way Google Maps implemented the multiple stops feature is that it gives you the ability to drag the order of the locations. If you planned on going to the bank, then out to lunch, then to the grocery store, but need to get lunch first, you can simply drag the restaurant up a slot.

The feature was made available to Android users at the end of June. For iOS users, the feature has just begun rolling out gradually, so some may not have it just yet.
