Back in June of 2015, you probably recall that Apple Music was introduced, promising a free three month trial. Well, that time has come to a close.
The music streaming and radio service had advantage over its competitors, such as Spotify and Pandora, as the service appeared on millions of devices through an upgrade.
When customers activated Apple Music, they were required to enter bank details for a paid subscription to begin on September 30, 2015. There is a strong chance many forgot they had entered these details, but need not worry. Here is how to stop the automatic monthly payments:
Go to your Apple Music profile
Launch the Apple Music app, and then tap the user icon in the upper left (the circle with a silhouette in it).
View Apple ID
Once on the account page, scroll down and tap View Apple ID, which will then prompt you to enter your Apple ID password.
Manage Subscriptions
On the Account Settings page, go down to the Subscriptions section, and tap the Manage button.
Turn off auto-renewal
You will then see a list of your subscriptions and when your free trial ends. Hit the green switch to turn auto-renewal off.
Is this correct?
It will then ask you if you want to turn off the auto-renewal. You tap Turn Off, and it’s that simple. If you change your mind, you can always go back and turn on auto-renewal to become an Apple Music member.
