The ULP series dc/dc converters suit portable applications. They provide output voltages from 0 to 5,000 Vdc and consume less than 2 mW power, which translates to 4,500-hour operation on two AA Li batteries.
The converter series output voltage is regulated, programmable, and delivers up to 4–W power on demand at more than 85% efficiency. The proprietary packaging is 0.5- in. high and weighs less than 2 oz. The converters feature a shutdown pin that drops current consumption to less than10 µA. Standard input voltage range is 5.4 to 7.4 V. Operating temperature range is available in –20° to 70°C and –55° to 85°C versions. ($295 each — available now.)
