Hybrid energy storage capacitors reach 90 F

The 196 HVC ENYCAP hybrid aluminum energy storage capacitors save space with what is said to be the industries highest energy density at 13 Ws/g. They have up to six cells, with capacitance values from 4 to 90 F at voltage ratings of 1.2 to 8.6 V.

Sizes range from 7.0 x 7.0 x 2.5 mm to 35 x 25 x 15.0 mm, with vertical or horizontal mount and stacked through-hole, surface-mount flat, or lay flat configurations. The devices do not require cell balancing and have soft charging characteristics at less than 1 A with low leakage currents of 0.03 to 0.24 mA.
