SPX boards are low-cost I/O expansion modules using a proprietary implementation of the SPI bus that operates on a simple 14-pin interconnect cable. The 1.2 x 3.8 in. modules can be daisy-chained together and operate at -40° to 85° C.

Offerings include an 8-channel analog input module (VL-SPX-1), CANbus controller module (VL-SPX-3), a 4-channel analog output module (VL-SPX-4), a TTL I/O port expansion (VL-SPX-2), and an 8-channel solid state switch module (VL-SPX-5). (From $60 ea/OEM qty.—samples available now.)
