IC digitizes RTDs, thermocouples, thermistors

The LTC2983 digital temperature measurement IC directly digitizes RTDs, thermocouples, thermistors, and external diodes with 0.1°C accuracy and 0.001°C resolution. The device combines low noise amplification and a low offset buffered A/D converters with all the necessary excitation and control circuits for each sensor.

The IC measures absolute µV level signals from thermocouples and ratiometric resistance measurements from RTDs and thermistors, linearizes the results and outputs them in °C or °F.  Up to twenty analog inputs are available and output is via an SPI interface. The chip uses a single 2.85 to 5.25 V supply and includes a 10 ppm/°C reference. Support software has drop-down menus for easy customization. Available now for $20.82 ea/100.
