The Studio 6 integrated development environment now supports both Atmel 8/32-bit AVR microcontrollers and Atmel Cortex-M series based processors. The no-cost tool allows engineers to have the same development environment for all Atmel MCUs.
The IDE includes Software Framework a large library of well proven and free source code, including about 1,000 project examples. The framework includes a full set of drivers for integrated peripherals and external components, wired and wireless communication stacks, audio decoding, graphics rendering, and fixed- and floating-point math libraries. The IDE also includes cycle accurate simulation, automated performance tests, and power analysis. (Free beta available now.)
