IDT Extends DDR3 Leadership with Low-Voltage Register Supporting DDR3 Memory Modules

IDT Devices Help Cut Register Power Consumption by up to 50 Percent

SAN JOSE, Calif., July 21, 2008 – IDT (Integrated Device Technology, Inc.; NASDAQ: IDTI), a leading provider of essential mixed signal semiconductor solutions that enrich the digital media experience, extends its leadership in Double Data Rate 3 (DDR3) memory interface devices today by announcing the industry’s first registered clock driver capable of standard and low-voltage operation for high-performance servers and workstations. The IDT DDR3 register is designed to help save power and reduce cooling costs in server farms and data centers. The register utilizes a new lower-power architecture that, when coupled with a low-voltage supply, can reduce the register power consumption by nearly 50 percent versus standard voltage registers.

Leading the industry in energy-efficient memory designs, our DDR3-based modules operate at 1.35 volts and use 21 percent less power in comparison to standard 1.5 volt DDR3 memory modules.”

The IDT SSTE32882HL device is aJoint Electron Device Engineering Council(JEDEC)-compliant integrated register and phase-locked loop (PLL) for DDR3 registered dual in-line memory modules (RDIMMs). The device supports the industry’s widest range of operating clock speeds, from DDR3-800 to DDR3-1600, across standard and low-voltage conditions, and surpasses key requirements for clock dynamic offset, jitter and setup time. Moreover, the device includes expanded built-in test and debug capabilities to facilitate design, test and debug of new RDIMM module designs.
