Yes, it looks like a Little Tikes toy car that you remember the kids riding around in, but it’s actually fully functional and can reach speeds of 70 mph.
Fully functional Little Tikes car.
An England-based company called Attitude Autos that specializes in one-off prototypes and special vehicles created the real car inspired by the toy.
The kids can't drive this one.
You don’t have to drive Flintstone style with your feet like the children’s version though. This one comes equipped with an 800-cc engine, runs on unleaded petrol, and even an airbag for the driver.
The Daewoo Matiz that the Little Tikes vehicle was created from.
In order to create the tiny vehicle, the team used a Deawoo Matiz and stripped the entire interior aside from the steering wheel and pedals. After the internal building was complete, the frame was welded together, LEDs were installed as a lighting system, and it was painted in red and yellow to stay true to the iconic children’s version.
The car took about 1,000 hours to create and could be built again for about $13,000.
