It’s been almost 30 years since the release of the original Macintosh computer.

John Leake, co-host of RetroMacCast, a website dedicated to remembering the iconic Macintosh computer, has now created a one-third scale Mac from scratch. Not only can you fit the model right in your hand, it also really works.

Check out these images of the legendary computer in a miniature size.
The outside of the tiny functional computer is made of a sheet of Sinatra, a white closed-cell PVS foam board and a 3.5-inch TFT LCD monitor.
The monitor is held in with two brackets at the bottom and Velcro tabs at the top. (Image via RetroMacCast)
On the left is the Raspberri Pi. On the right is a four-port USB hub, along with AC/DC adapter.

Since ithe small Mac is such a small contraption, Leake made some adjustments to the original composition of the computer. For example, he had to cut the SD card down and cut away some USB cable, as well as solder wires directly to the Pi board to bypass the power connector.

Leake hooked up his mini Mac to an Apple Bluetooth keyboard and Magic mouse so he can use it wirelessly.
