Image-processing SoCs decode H.264

The EMMA3SL/HD and EMMA3SL/SD H.264-compliant image-processing SoCs have an H.264 video decoder and all of the key functions needed to receive and decode digital broadcasts. They include DSPs for systems using Dolby Digital Plus or high-efficiency advanced audio coding (HE-AAC) to play back high-quality audio streams.

The chips have a 327-MHz MIPS32 24KEc core, DDR2 and flash memory interfaces, a USB host controller, and a 10/100 Ethernet MAC. The EMMA3SL/HD includes HD decoding, an HDMI interface, a deinterlacer, a fast D/A converter for HD output, and two IR receivers/blasters.
