Incremental encoder saves on space
The LD15 Series incremental encoders measure 1.5 (D) x 1.6 (L) in. The
devices are designed for position or velocity sensing in closed-loop
applications, where space conservation is a priority. The LD15 use an LED
light source and has a resolution up to 2,500 pulses/rev and a 100-kHz
frequency range. The maximum radial and axial shaft loading is 5 lb. The
encoders are offered with two count channels and a marker pulse. Operating
at 5 Vdc, the devices provide a TTL-compatible line-driver output. Units
are available in standard-size 15 face or servo mount. ($175–2 to 3 weeks
