Industry’s first 1.8-V broadband LNA supports portable-TV, mobile-TV apps
Tiny 2 x 1.3 x 0.4-mm dual-mode part covers wide frequency range
Only 2 x 1.3 x 0.4 mm, the BGA728L7 broadband LNA is offered as the smallest broadband LNA for portable- and mobile-TV applications. Additionally, it is the first mobile-TV LNA worldwide to support 1.8-, 2.8-, and 3.3-V operation.
Features include a wide frequency range covering VHFIII, UHF, and L bands, and dual-mode (high-gain-mode and low-gain-mode) operation. In high-gain mode, the part helps to improve reception sensitivity for weak signals through its noise figure of 1.4 dB combined with 16-dB gain.
For a strong input signal, the BGA728L7 can be switched to a low-gain mode to offer higher linearity with low current consumption of only 0.5 mA. Housed in a leadless TSLP7-1 package, the part also features a supply voltage range from 1.5 to 3.6 V, a fast switching time of 3.5 μs, and 1-kV HBM ESD protection.
The BGA728L7 supports various standards such as DVB-T, DVB-H, ISDB-T, MediaFLO, and T-DMB, as well as the emerging Chinese standards including CMMB, TMMB, or DMB-TH. (From $$0.6 ea/10,000 available July.)
