Industry’s lowest power, zero-drift op amp
Claimed by the company to offer 30% less power than competing products, the dual-channel, ADA4051-2 zero-drift operational amplifier draws only 17 µA max, which allows it to extend the operating time of battery-powered applications. The part features a new chopper architecture with the company’s ACFB (auto-correction feedback loop) ripple-suppression technology to provide an offset voltage of 2 µV typ and 15 µV max.
This architecture enables temperature drift suppression to 20 nV per °C typical and eliminates 1/f noise. In addition, the op amp provides rail-to-rail I/O, which helps provide a dynamic range of greater than 110 dB.
In addition the chopper architecture enables the device to achieve a PSRR of 135 db and CMRR of 135 db typical. Housed in 8-pin LFSCP and 8-pin MSOP packages, the part operates from 1.8 to 5.5 V. ($1.50 ea/1,000 available now.)
