Industry’s tiniest octal DACs integrate 10-ppm/°C reference
12-, 10-, 8-bit parts suit industrial and communications applications
Offered by the company as the smallest of their kind, the 12-, 10-, and 8-bit LTC2636 octal D/A converters integrate a 10-ppm/°C precision reference in DFN and MSOP packages, helping to shrink space-constrained optical networking circuit boards.
Designers can also choose between a 2.5- or 4.096-V full-scale range, making the LTC2636 a good fit for 3- or 5-V systems. Additional features include a maximum 12-bit INL error of ±2.5 LSB, a crosstalk between DACs of less than 2.4 nV x s, a single-supply voltage from 2.7 to 5.5 V, a supply current of 100 μA per DAC, and a selectable internal or external reference.
An ordering option provides the choice between powering up the DACs at zero-scale or mid-scale. The parts offer a temperature range from −40° to 125°C. (From $2.85 ea/1,000 — available now.)
