Ink Jet Printhead Selection & Evaluation Course: January 28-29, 2013

Carrabassett Valley, Maine, USA – Information Management Institute offers its course, Ink Jet Printhead Selection & Evaluation Course on January 28-29, 2013 at the Scottsdale Cottonwoods Resort & Suites in Scottsdale (Phoenix), Arizona. Complete program information and online registration is available at www.imiconf.com.

According to IMI President Al Keene, “Printhead technology developments and advancements are enabling the use of ink jet technology in an ever expanding array of applications.

To successfully implement ink jet technology, one of the critical decisions is printhead selection. This course is designed to provide information about the selection and evaluation of printheads to assist in making the best possible decision in this key area of ink jet system development.

As printhead technology options continue to expand the applications horizon; IMI’s Printhead Selection & Evaluation Course provides a unique opportunity to obtain information and insights critical to the printhead selection and evaluation process.”

Keene continues, “Additionally, suppliers of other systems components, electronics, inks/fluids, etc. need to understand the printhead selection and evaluation process to optimize their products in the rapidly expanding array of ink jet applications.”

Course Leader Clive Ayling, Inkjet Specialist, TTP, Royston, Hertfordshire, UK is an inkjet specialist at The Technology Partnership (TTP). Clive has led many product development projects for TTP’s clients and now manages TTP’s ‘Meteor’ division. TTP employs 300 scientific and engineering staff near Cambridge, UK. Around 25% of TTP’s engineers work on projects relating to digital printing, making TTP a leading service provider in this field. Clive has worked on label printers, coding and marking printing systems, proofer printers, wide format printers, bar code printers, office printers and industrial inkjet systems for many different industries. In 2005 Clive helped to found the ‘TTP Meteor’ business group that supplies electronics to drive industrial inkjet printheads used in OEM inkjet printers, custom industrial inkjet systems and inkjet laboratories. Clive is a regular speaker at IMI conferences: launching each new product from TTP Meteor and sharing insights into the state-of-the-art of engineering in this industry. Fifteen of his past presentations are available on www.ttpmeteor.com

Clive has worked at TTP for 17 years, leading many inkjet-related projects. Prior to this, Clive worked for 6 years as an R&D engineer for Schlumberger Industries (Solartron Transducers) developing industrial meters for liquid viscosity, flow and density. He has a degree in Natural Sciences (Physics) from Cambridge University.
