Instrumentation amp combines power efficiency, zero-drift accuracy, and value

The AD8237 micro-power, zero-drift precision instrumentation amplifier is claimed to offer a power-efficient solution for precision signal and sensor conditioning at a competitive price. The amplifier features a low input offset drift of less than 0.3 µV/°C and an input signal range that extends 300 mV beyond the supply rails.

Additional features include a maximum gain error of 0.005%, a drift of 0.5 ppm/°C, an input voltage noise of 1.5 µVp-p, and CMRR of 114 dB. With a low quiescent supply current of just over 100 µA, the amplifier is well suited for signal conditioning bridge, temperature and other similar sensors used in low-power designs. Housed in an MSOP-8 package, the part operates off a single supply voltage of 1.8 to 5.5 V. ($0.93 ea/1,000 — available now)
