The AD8420 instrumentation amplifier features a CMRR of 100 dB while consuming 75 µA of power offering designers improved signal quality and longer battery life compared to competitive offerings. Specifications include a maximum offset voltage of 200 µV, a maximum offset drift of 1 µV/°C, an input noise of 50 nV/√Hz, and a wide 2.7 to 36 V single and ±18 V dual-power supply range.
The amp supports rail-to-rail operation on the output with a wide input-voltage range that allows it to amplify signals below supply ground. The gain (1 to 1,000) is set by the ratio of two external resistors, providing better gain accuracy over temperature. Temperature range is from 40 to 125C and housing is in 8-lead MSOP packages.
