Integrated power modules need no heatsink

The IR4311M and IR4312M, the newest members of the PowIRaudio family, are integrated power modules that offer a heatsink-free solution for low power Class D audio applications including tabletop audio systems, active speakers and musical instruments with integrated amplifiers. The IR4311 offers one channel while the IR4312 provides two channels with 35-W peak-output/channel.

The power modules combine an audio controller IC with MOSFETs, provide over-current protection, thermal shutdown, internal/external shutdown, and floating differential input. The IR4312M also offers clip detection. (From $1.61 ea/10,000 — available now.)
