Integrated transceiver handles MIL-STD-1553

The HI-2130 MIL-STD-1553 terminal IC provides a 3.3 V fully integrated interface between a host processor and a MIL-STD-1553/MIL-STD-1760 bus. It combines a 16-bit parallel and 4-wire SPI interfaces and dual transceivers and dual transformers in a single 15 x 15 mm package.

The devices die is hermetically sealed in a ceramic substrate and the transformers are mounted onto the same package. BGA and PGA packages are offered, with operation from -40° to 85°C or -55^o to 125^o C. Each device contains a bus controller, a bus monitor terminal, and two independent remote terminals. The user allocates 64 Kbytes of ECC RAM between terminals.
