Intel 6-G SATA SSD reads at 550 Mbytes/s

Using a 6-Gbit/s SATA interface and claiming a 1.2-million-hour MTBF, the SSD 520 solid-state disk drive delivers world-class performance for PC enthusiasts, gamers, professionals, or small-medium businesses. The drive uses 25-nm NAND flash and provides up to 80,000 4K random write IOPS and up to 50,000 4K random read IOPS.

The unit yields sequential read performance of up to 550 Mbytes/s and up to 520-Mbyte/s sequential writes and comes in a wide range of capacities from 60 to 480 Gbytes. Active power is 850 mW and standby is 600 mW typ and the drive has AES 256 encryption along with data compression.
