Interface cards provide dual-redundant 1553

DNA-1553-553 and DNR-1553-553 two-channel 1553 bus interface boards provide two independent, dual-redundant bus interfaces for MIL STD-1553 communication. The DNA version is compatible with the company’s PowerDNA or UEIPAC cubes, while the DNR is used in a 12- or 6-slot RACKtangle chassis.

The cards operate from –40° to 85°C and may be configured as a bus controller, remote terminal, or bus monitor. They have transformer or direct coupling, can withstand 5-g vibration and up to 50-g shock, and take 5 W, not including any load. (DNA-1553-553, $5,500; DNR-1553-553, $5,650 — 2 to 4 weeks ARO.)
