The Model 8055 interface lets GPIB instruments connect to the Ethernet. Typical uses for the unit include adapting IEEE-488 instruments to a LXI/Ethernet-based distributed test system or sharing them among several users on a company network.
The interface is a 100% VXI-11.3 compliant server that allows GPIB instrument to be controlled by programs running in either Windows or Unix/Linux type operating systems.
