Internal FM antenna supplants previous version

Miniature antenna improves performance and reduces size for portable and wireless devices

Able to be incorporated directly inside a portable or wireless handset device, the Activv miniature internal FM antenna solution offers performance and size improvements compared with its RadioAnt, which was released earlier this year. The antenna circuit combines FM, impedance matching, and signal amplification to provide performance similar to or better than a corded headset, as well as improved sensitivity of 5 dB and a 25% size reduction compared with the RadioAnt.

While the RadioAnt performs well when it is in close proximity with the human body, the newer Activv antenna offers enhanced reception performance in free-space as well as close-to-the-body applications. The antenna radiator size is further reduced to allow implementation in virtually all mobile devices. Frequency range has been extended to 76 to 108 MHz. ($0.50 to $2—available now.)
