International Auto Show – New York: Highlights
From girly to muscle, hybrid to tweaked out, all are on display at the International Auto Show which started today Friday April 22 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City and will go on through May 1. More detailed info can be found at www.autoshowny.com
Following are some highlights, including a Ford Explorer cut in half down the middle. Enjoy!:
At the SMART booth, a car was covered with thousands of tiny mirrors. I vote this as #1 girly car of the show.

So what is Ecoboost?
Ford Ecoboost uses smart technologies that work together to deliver increased performance, improved efficiency, and reduced emissions.
Hybrid Vehicles
Ford also shows what is in their hybrid car. Gas engine and electric traction motor work together. Engine charges battery while driving.
Ford: Lithium-ion battery pack. Ford claims it stores 6 times energy than comparable lead-acid battery. It holds charge when not in use. Memory-free, charge at any time. Technology already used in cell-phone, laptops, cameras. It also features liquid battery cooling and heating for better performance in extreme hot or cold.
