Intersil Reduces Noise and Lowers Cost in Powering Automotive TFT-LCD Displays

Intersil Corporation has announced the ISL78010, an automotive-grade TFT-LCD power supply IC. This device is AEC-Q100 rated and fully ISO/TS 16949:2002 compliant.

Intersil's ISL78010 Multiple Output, Single-Boost Regulator for Automotive TFT-LCD Power Supply Improves System Noise Performance and Reliability While Reducing External Component Count.

The ISL78010 provides enhanced reliability against transients with its higher voltage capability that protects against stray capacitance and parasitic inductances caused during switching. The ISL78010 integrates sequencing, regulated charge pumps, 2A FET, and fault protection for each output channel.

This integration not only reduces costs and increases available board space, but the reduced component count improves a system’s overall mean time between failure (MTBF). Also, the ISL78010 has four highly-accurate output channels for superior performance.
