Intersolar solar industry conference to be held with SEMICON West in July
The Intersolar North America exhibition and conference will held in conjunction with SEMICON West 2008 from 15 to 17 July at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Intersolar is said to be the most comprehensive solar industry exhibition in the United States, covering photovoltaics, solar thermal technology, and solar architecture.
The combined SEMICON/Intersolar event will use 350,000 sq. ft of exhibition space and attract over 10,000 visitors. The solar exhibition will have around 200 international exhibitors, and an “Innovation Exchange” seminar over the three-day exhibition will offer information on specific products or research through company presentations.
“Intersolar Europe is already known as the world’s largest solar industry event,” said Solar Promotion International’s CEO, Markus Elsässer. The Chairman of the Conference Committee is Professor Eicke R. Weber, Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems in Freiburg, Germany. The conference will also address solar thermal and integrated technologies, financing/investments, materials issues, and politics through technical workshops, panel discussions, and presentations.
