The AEP-A3000R series of pure sine-wave inverters offer the only 3-kVA product in the market packaged in a 1U rack-mount design. The inverter powers sensitive loads and helps improve ac equipment performance. The inverter has a built-in 4 to 6-ms automatic bypass switch that allows for redundant operation from utility power if the dc supply drops out. It is available in 12-, 24-, and 48-Vdc inputs and 115- or 230-Vac (50/60-Hz) outputs that are regulated to ±3%.
All models in the series feature circuit and overload protection with digital displays and alarms to indicate low input voltage, short circuit, input overvoltage, overtemperature, overload, and low battery. The displays also indicate voltage, amperage, power, and temperature. Efficiency is 84% to 90%, depending on the model selected. The operating temperature is –30 to 50C and allows for installation in extreme environments.
