IP enables IEEE 1149.7 Compact-JTAG standard
The cJTAG-IEEE-1149.7 IP package is said to be the industry’s first synthesizable IP core implementing the upcoming IEEE 1149.7 Compact-JTAG standard. The specification defines a next-generation test access port (TAP), known as TAP.7, which extends IEEE 1149.1 TAP (TAP.1) functionality.
The cJTAG specification uses concurrent test to reduce test times. Additional features of the 1149.7 IP core include support for 1149.7 classes 0–5, partitioning along IEEE 1149.7 functional boundaries, an extended processing unit (EPU) for class 0–3 operation, an advanced processing unit (APU) for class 4–5, and separate blocks for clock and reset signal conditioning. (Package with simulation and synthesis support, $75,000 — available now.)
