The IP67-rated Amphe-SP3 single-pole thermoplastic power connector is designed with 90- and 120-color and keyway positions of different polarity to ensure safety during operation by reducing mating mistakes. The connector is suited for environmental high power applications including smart grid power, industrial UPS, outdoor power supply, control systems, hybrid/electric vehicles, heavy equipment, and factory automation.
The connectors use of RADSOK technology providies large, coaxial, face-to-face surface area engagement to maximize heat dissipation, reduce failures, lower insertion forces, and reduce voltage drop. The silver-plated 5.7-mm crimp-termination contacts carry up to 120 A and are rated for 600 Vac, with contact resistance of 5 mΩ. The connector has a molded housing and insert with rubber seals and integrated waterproof cable glands. Insulation resistance is 5,000 MΩ at 25°C, and the connector can withstand up to 500 mating cycles at temperatures from −40°C to 125°C, salt fog spray to NACI 5% for 1,000 hours, and shock and vibration of 980 m/s.
