The 4180 Precision Infrared Calibrators Series consists of two models: the 4180 with a –15° to 120°C range and radiometric (noncontact IR) display accuracy to ±0.40°C; and the 4181 with a 35° to 500°C range and accuracy to ±0.35°C. Their 6-in.-diameter targets are the same size used and recommended by IR thermometer manufacturers, and their design simplifies accurate calibration in field or lab.
Calibrator features let users address quality issues such as emissivity and size-of-source effect. Other attributes include target stability and uniformity, traceable radiometric calibration, and the ability to compensate for unit-under-test emissivity settings.
