EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – International Rectifier, IR® (NYSE: IRF), a world leader in power management technology, today introduced a series of robust single-channel high-voltage integrated circuits (HVIC) for a wide range of applications including motor control, lighting, switch mode power supplies, industrial and welding, and solar panel battery chargers. Compared to optocouplers, the IRS211(7,8) family of 600V high-side single-channel driver ICs provide lower input current of 40 microamps and an output signal of 0 to 15 volts to reduce part count and simplify circuit design. The devices' lower quiescent current of 340 microamps, under-voltage lockout feature and maximum junction temperature (Tj) of 150 degrees C enable more robust and reliable performance. Additionally, the IRS2117 and IRS2118 feature common mode rejection of 50V/ns.
