Built using the company’s TrueRF technology, the SX1230 ISM-band transmitter integrates all the radio components on a CMOS die, minimizing the need for other passive components. The part features dual-power amplifiers with 35-dB programmable output power, ranging from –18 to 17 dBm.
The part operates in the 315-, 434-, 868-, and 915-MHz license-free ISM bands, and draws as little as 8 mA depending on output-power level. Additional features include bit rates up to 600 kbits/s and a voltage range over 1.8 to 3.7 V. The VQFN-24-packaged part also offers a phase noise of –95 dBc/Hz at 50 kHz with automated PLL calibration and fully integrated VCO and loop filter. ($1.15 ea/3,000 — available now.)
