Isolated amplifier features high accuracy

The TLP7820 optically isolated amplifier has a delta-sigma A/D converter input and an analog output. The device can detect small current and voltage fluctuations with high-precision. It offers a common-mode transient immunity of 15 kV/μs minimum, enabling stable operation in electrically noisy environments.

The amplifiers output non-linearity, with a ±100 mV input, is 0.06% maximum at 25°C. Gain is approximately 8.2 and input bias current is 1 µA maximum. Gain drift is 0.12 mV/V/°C. It uses a 4.5 to 5.5 V input power supply and 3 to 5.5 V output side supply, with supply currents of 8.6 mA and 6.2 mA typical, respectively. Operation range is -40° to 105°C and bandwidth is 140 KHz minimum, 230 KHz typical. It comes in an 8-pin flat pack SMT package and samples are available now.
