The Si8920 galvanically isolated amplifier provides accurate current shunt measurement for power control systems. The IC handles a common-mode voltage as high as 1,200 V with a very low 0.75 µs signal delay across the isolation barrier. Full scale input is either 100 or 200 mv and the output is differential analog. Noise is only 0.10 mVrms over a 100 kHz bandwidth.
The device has 50 kV/μs common-mode transient immunity, 1 µV/°C offset drift, 0.1% full-scale non-linearity, and operates over –40° to 125°C. It meets UL, VDE, CQC and CSA standards, supports up to 5 kV withstand, and is available now in SOIC and DIP packages. From $2.39 ea/10,000.
