Isolation amps meet 8-mm creepage, clearance
The ACPL-C78A/C780/C784 family of isolation amplifiers comes in stretched SO-8 packages with a footprint 30% smaller than conventional DIPs, yet meets 8-mm creepage and clearance requirements. The family uses sigma-delta A/D converter technology to allow designers to accurately measure motor phase currents in servo and high-end inverter motor drives.
Features include a CMR of 15 kV/µs at VCM of 1,000 V, a gain temperature drift of 0.00025 V/V/C, an input offset voltage of 0.3 mV, a bandwidth of 100 kHz, and nonlinearity of 0.004%. These packages are compliant to most industrial safety standards such as IEC/EN/DIN EN 60747-5-2, UL 1577, and CSA. (From $3.13 ea/10,000 — available now.)
