Jitter attenuator suits Ethernet apps

The VFJA905 jitter attenuator, an integrated clock/PLL timing solution for 1G and 10G synchronous Ethernet applications, features two LVCMOS outputs with a frequency of 25 MHz that can be locked to an input reference frequency. Two select inputs, S1 and S0, allow the user to select one of three preset input frequencies or a free-run mode.

Features include a selectable input frequency range from 8 kHz to 200 MHz, an output frequency range of 10 to 200 MHz, an output jitter of 0.18 ps rms at 12 kHz to 20 MHz, a supply voltage of 3.3 V, and a power consumption of 150 mW. The VFJA905 is available in a 19.5 x 15.5-mm surface-mount package and is RoHS 6/6 compliant. (Call company for pricing and availability.)
