El Segundo, CA (Oct. 15, 2013)—The IHS Inc. (NYSE: IHS) Interactive Technology Summit (ITS) to be held next week will feature eight keynote speakers who are leading the revolution in human-machine interfaces reshaping the world of high technology.
ITS will be held from Oct. 22 through Oct. 25, 2013, at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, Calif. Formerly known as the Touch Gesture Motion Conference, the event brings together top executives with leading industry experts to chart the ongoing revolution in user interfaces.
Keynote speakers at this year’s event will be:
• Darren David, chief executive officer of Stimulant, an interactive design and development studio
• Candice Brown Elliott, chief executive officer of Nouvoyance Inc., an independent fabless semiconductor firm and the developer of PenTile color display technology
• Eric Foxlin, chief technical officer of InterSense Inc., a provider of precision motion tracking technology
• Joe Kane, founder of Joe Kane Productions, a specialist in the science of electronic imaging and the accurate reproduction of video signals on display devices

Four days of insights
The first day of the event, entitled “Intelligent Sensors,” will examine interactive displays, both direct touch and gesture/motion-based solutions, requiring sensor silicon that is rapidly enabling new and unique capabilities that are smaller, more powerful and more highly integrated.
The second day, dubbed “Touch Gesture Motion: Enhancing Interactivity,” will analyze the rapid emergence of interactive displays—i.e., technologies that link the human-to-machine interaction beyond the visual realm.
Day three, called “Touch Gesture Motion: Advanced Touch Solutions,” will cover technologies that enable both pen and touch, haptic feedback and enhanced tactile response. These quickly emerging technologies are proving capable of allowing much more natural touch experiences.
On the final day of the event, called “High-Performance Displays: Next-Generation Visualization,” participants will discuss advanced displays, including high resolution, 3-D, high color, high contrast, high frame rates and wide aspect ratio.
Registration fees range from $650 for one day to $2,400 for the entire event.
