Suited for smartphones and other portable devices, the MAX7360 keypad controller features multiple-key press/release detection on up to 64 keys, plus eight extra GPIOs/LED drivers and advanced ESD protection (±8-kV IEC contact discharge and ±15-kV IEC air-gap discharge). Individual key codes for each press and release are stored in a FIFO register to enable monitoring of multiple key-switch events.
The GPIOs/LED drivers feature constant current and individual port-intensity adjustment through a 256-step PWM control. Operating temperature is from –40° to 85°C and housing is in 40-pin TQFN and 36-bump WLP packages. (From $2.15 ea/1,000 — available now.)
