The reference design for Ethernet audio video bridging (AVB) using the XMOS XC1-G4 processor targets networked audio and video applications, automotive entertainment systems and home networking systems. The kit provides support for all AVB endpoint requirements and has four XDK development kits with 100-Mbit/s Ethernet ports, an 8-port Ethernet switch, cables, power supples, and a software demonstration.
All AVB features and functions are implemented in royalty-free software, and the kit provides for easy adaptation to cope with changes in emerging AVB Ethernet standards such as IEEE 802.1AS, IEEE 801.1Qav, and IEEE P1722.
