KOA Speer Awarded 2009 TTI Supplier Excellence Award
Bradford, PA – September 15, 2010 – KOA Speer Electronics announces they have earned the TTI Supplier Excellence Award for 2009. KOA Speer is once again a Platinum Level recipient from TTI, an honor that can only be reached by receiving the Supplier Excellence Award for a minimum of 5 consecutive years. KOA Speer has been an award recipient in 14 of the 15 years TTI has presented this recognition.
Melanie Pizzey, TTI Vice President Global Product Operations, made the announcement.
Achievement of this award not only represents the dedication of all KOA Speer Electronics employees to TTI, but also management’s commitment and overall operating philosophy for excellence by allocation of resources, allowing employees the opportunity to do the right thing in order to ensure customer satisfaction.
Pizzey said, “TTI began the Supplier Excellence Program in 1995 to foster continuous improvement in supplier and distributor performance, by providing monthly performance results to all suppliers. Overall supplier performance has substantially improved since the inception of the recognition program. Each year we raise the bar in our program and the suppliers who earned recognition for 2009 performance have demonstrated their dedication and commitment to excellence.”
The TTI Supplier Excellence Award represents the highest recognition possible of a supplier’s performance within TTI. The program is centered on quality measurements that include: on-time delivery, receiving quality, customer-reported quality, administrative quality, operations and business systems. In addition, there are performance measurements such as sales and management support.
