L/RVDT card cuts size, complexity, cost

The DSP-based 73LD4 LVDT/RVDT-to-digital converter PC-104 card includes six independent, isolated, programmable tracking converter measurement channels. Each channel has 16-bit resolution, 0.025% full-scale accuracy, tracking rate to 150 strokes/s, accurate digital velocity output, incremental encoder (A+B) outputs, and wrap-around self-test.

The card runs from a single 5-Vdc supply, operates over a 360-Hz to 10-KHz frequency range, and autoranges input from 2 to 28 Vrms. Each unit also has 16 programmable digital I/O channels, latches (so all channels can be read at once), and an optional programmable excitation reference supply.
