Lambda Research to run workshop on LED design at Oct. 2 Austrian expo

Littleton, MA, USA, September 9, 2014 – Lambda Research Corporation, a leading designer and manufacturer of illumination and optical design software, will conduct a workshop on LED luminaire design optimization at the 2014 LED Symposium & Expo, in Bregenz, Austria on October 2, 2014 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Lambda Research Corporation’s senior application engineer, Dave Jacobsen, will be presenting a comprehensive workshop titled “LED Luminaire Design Optimization — Theory, Methods and Applications,” during which he’ll discuss optimization theory and its practical application to lighting design. Workshop attendees will learn about theory, methods, benefits, and potential pitfalls of optimization. Three different LED luminaire examples will show attendees how to set up and execute optimization, adjust parameters to maximize design efficiency, and analyze results using reports, diagrams, illuminance maps, and photorealistic rendering.
