Devices integrate up to 100 individually-addressable emitters

Based on the company's Quantum Well Intermixing process, INSlam monolithic laser diode modules integrate from 10 to 100 individually addressable lasers on one chip for precise delivery of optical energy to enable high accuracy and speed for digital presses as well as next-generation military rangefinders and illuminators. Each module contains from 10 to 100 emitters operating within the 808 to 980-nm range, and is available in single- and multimode configurations.

The modules have an individual pitch as low as 70 µm and deliver power levels from 30 to 200 mW with an operating lifetime of over 10,000 hours. The laser modules can also incorporate the drive electronics, optical monitoring, micro and/or macro optics, and thermal management components in order to replace a much larger traditional subsystem.
