LDOs operate from lowest Vin and 140-mV max dropout

The XRP6274 and XRP6275 low-dropout (LDO) regulators support 2- and 3-A loads from a single low voltage supply with a maximum dropout voltage of 140 mV. The voltage regulators operate with the lowest Vin of 1.045 and work with industry standard voltage rails of 1.1 to 2.5 V. The LDOs are targeted at communications, enterprise solutions, industrial systems and space constrained consumer devices.

The dropout performance for the LDO regulators is attained without an external bias voltage or an internal charge pump. The devices use a single supply and reduce board layout complexity by avoiding the need to route a secondary bias rail to the LDO. They provide output voltages down to 0.6 V with an accuracy of 0.5% using ceramic capacitors.
