LED control ICs suit low-voltage lighting apps
The ZLED7015 LED control ICs is a constant-current boost converter with an internal high-power 35-V switch. It is optimal for driving multiple white LEDs connected in series from a low-voltage supply. The wide input voltage range of 6 to 30 V supports applications with input voltage from multicell batteries or regulated 12- and 24-V power rails.
A low-voltage feedback mechanism helps maximize the operating efficiency and the device’s soft-start function and open-circuit detection protects the application circuit and extends the LED life. Additional features include a switching frequency of 1 MHz and a high efficiency of 95%. A low 0.3-V feedback voltage minimizes power loss in the current-setting resistor for better efficiency Housed in a MSOP-10 package, the part has an operating temperature range from –40° to 85°C and is RoHS compliant.
