Suited for a variety of solid-state lighting applications, such as industrial, architectural, signage, and decorative lighting, the HV9919 LED driver is designed to drive LEDs using a buck topology. The part’s hysteretic control function maintains its output current between a fixed minimum and maximum level at all times, ensuring that the LED current will not change despite surges in the input conditions.
Built-in PWM circuitry provides true constant color and a high dimming range. Its dimming frequency can be programmed with a single capacitor. Available in an 8-lead DFN package, it offers a switching frequency of up to 2.0 MHz. ($0.55 ea/1,000 — 4 to 6 weeks ARO.)
